Okay, I don’t think this needs much introduction, so I’ll keep it brief. This is a show that I do, on which I use the Playstation Eye to interview members of the GAP that I select. I admit that there is a large number of bad eggs over there, but that’s all the more reason to do this. We have to recognize the good members of our community, for being good! It might help boost moral among our good, veteran members too, who are just fed up with the crap being spewed from and on the GAP. I don’t know. Just a thought. So without further ado, here they are!
Me, Myself and Eye – Episode 1 (E_Dragon)
Me, Myself and Eye – Episode 2 (CONFUSEDgam3r)
Me, Myself and Eye – Episode 3 (Ravncat) – Part 1, Part 2
Me, Myself and Eye – Episode 4 (RamblinFlyer & DarkFireDragon) – Part 1, Part 2
Me, Myself and Eye – Episode 5 (SethB) – Part 1, Part 2
More to come.
Fu out.
YOu know Fu, you could balance your interviews by seeking out someone who has been in the GAP for a couple of weeks. Just a thought and I wait for more of these.
This is basically my criteria:
* They have the necessities. PS3, Playstation Eye, you get the idea.
* They are someone I like and respect. This could include good spelling and grammar (not essential, but I tend to notice those who have them), striving to make friends, not enemies, and other reasons that I can’t remember right now.
* They haven’t been interviewed before, on Random GAPer of the Week, Breaking the Ice, JCP’s show, etc. I do make exceptions when I think it’s worth it.
As for early members, I give them enough time to get used to everything, and give myself enough time to see if they’re what I’m looking for. This depends on when I notice them. I suppose this means that now that I’m trying to get back into this, I ought to stick around GAP in order to scout out good candidates.
One semi-new member I really wanted to interview a while back was kennethw. Alas, he doesn’t have a PS Eye. That was disappointing. But you’re right. I should look for other newcomers. I know of one actually who I believe might be good. I’ll check out his blogs.
Ah! That’s another thing. Girl gamers. That’s balance. And I don’t mean that I’m obligated for the sake of political correctness. It would just be a nice change. I’ve asked two girl GAPers in the past, but one declined, and the other was even busier with work and life than you, E_D.
You should just put out the call on the GAP. I mean we are discussing this outside of the GAP after all and I guess your secret is out. You let it out not me.
I like the criteria too.
Well, a minor setback. I had to postpone this morning’s interview due to my lack of satisfaction with the questions I had come up with. I don’t know when it will be happening now. Hopefully soon.
The interview, hopefully the final version, will take place this Thursday. Cross your fingers, again!
Ya! A new interview.
Thanks!
More technical difficulties by the way.
I’m pretty sure this is the one. We got it recorded, the audio works, and it’s a pretty interesting interview. I hope to have it at least completed in the editing process before I go to bed. That would only leave uploading and linking for tomorrow.
But hell, it’ll be posted before I go to bed. Who am I kidding?
Never mind. 4:36 am and I’m falling over looking at the screen. Tomorrow it is.
Okay, it’s finally been posted!
I will finally and I do mean finally be able to see the next installment. =) Thanks for staying up all night trying to get it done.
A face to the name! Hi Ravncat. =) That was a good episode. Is it getting easier to do?
Oh and Fupas, I could without that camera angle of yours. =) Seriously.
Heh, at least I wore pants.
LOL Well met but move that camera higher the next time. =)
Okay now that I mentioned the camera angle, I can get to the interview. I enjoyed it. I was kind of hoping Ravn would have stuck the PS Eye out of the window so we could have seen what Japan would have looked like. =)
Good questions and answers you guys. So who’s next?
One day I might have a PS3 and an Eye….
I will have to keep this in mind, it’s awesome. Good Job!
Hey, you’re welcome any time! That is, any time after I hurry up and get through the next few lined up. I’m sooo lazy though.
Been a month and nothing on Episode 4. I hope all is well Fu. Sorry but I am looking forward to the next one, a higher camera angle and yeah, waiting to see the next interviewee.
Yeah, I’m sorry about that. The reason I haven’t gotten anywhere with it is… well, it’s quite daunting. It’s over an hour long, and just thinking about it makes me tired. But I owe it to fans like you, and the guests. I’ll try to work on it tomorrow.
Heh. Famous last words.
Hey Fu,
I thought i would help with some linkage for you.
Episode 4 – Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZC9vEAxH-4
Episode 4 – Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFqVi0D_L9M
I very much enjoyed the new episode and it was worth the wait. =)
Thanks Ed! I was just about to do it, and didn’t look forward to going through YouTube to find the links. I know, I’m laziness personified, right?
Glad you liked it. And thanks for the bumps over on the GAP (hint hint to anyone else reading this)! Yeah, as I said, I’m too lazy to make EXTRA blogs to publicize this. Maybe I’ll just bug other WordPress people.
Episode 5 has been written, and I’m trying to coordinate schedules. I think we’ll be filming next weekend, if nothing else comes up.
We have it filmed. Actually, that was last weekend (on the 25th).
woohoo! Best interview coming soon.
Nyuuuuuhhh… I haven’t gotten around to editing yet. Sorry.
This weekend, I’ll get on it.
Okay, I lied. I’ve started editing now. I’m wondering how much editing will be needed. There was so much worth keeping, such as dancing. Oh what dancing there was! The only stuff to cut really was the long periods between one question and the next. Radio silence, so to speak.
I’m afraid it will still take a while, especially since I have about half an hour left tonight. Sorry.
Woohoo! Episode 5 is within hours of being uploaded!
Part one is posted, though at the moment it’s being processed.
Hooray! Part one is up and linked!
Nice job FUManchu!
Heh heh, you’re the second person to call me that. You and DarkFire should start a club, whose purpose is to come up with strange things to call me.
What the deuce?? I couldn’t find my interview. =( I was in a mood to see it again. Oh well.
Later Dork.
The first two interviews were uploaded to a site part of Yahoo!, called Jumpcut. It was pretty cool. It was also in its beta stage. Apparently it bombed, because it’s gone now, along with all uploaded content.
I’ll take a look on my external hard drive for the interview. Even if it is “lost,” I know I wouldn’t delete it (intentionally), so it will only take a little time to find it.
Happy day! I found it. If you want I can upload it to YouTube. In theory it can be uploaded as one video.
